In Re On motion of Trustee ~cBr~_~e, second]ed by Communication relative Hasenjaeger and carrisd~ co~mmunic~tion from VJ.W. condition Fourth & Main Ots. Lackey, Mgr. Soars~ Roebuck Co. relative condition a~ Fourth and Main Sts. where a barrier has been erected across the sidewalk and no safe and proper provision is ~ade for pe~estrians, was accepted and ordered fileS. In Re On motion of Trustee EcBride, seconded by ~'~arnor an~ Communicstion carried, com~.~u~icatio~ from Santa Cruz Chamber ~f Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce Commerce soliciting assistance of Santa Aha officials in selecting Santa Cr.uz as 19~S Co~vention City for the California League of ~.~unicipalities, was ordere~ filed. In Re On motion of Trustee V~arner, seconded by Pen~ and Ap~.licat~on carried~ applieatioo of R. Harper, l~Z8 W~st Srd St ~. Harper for permission to operate popcorn and peanut wagon ~Popcorn wagon on the southwest corner of Fourth and Ross Sts., was denied, with reference to street, sidev~alk or parking. In Re On motion of Trustee ~cBri~e~ seconded by '~arn~ and Application carried~ application of Earl ~,~. Waycott for permiss- Earl M. Waycott ion to conduct a commercial poultry yard at 1519 Cc~muercial Poultry Yard East First Street, was granted. In Re On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Penn and J.H.Armfield carried, the application of J. H. Armfield for a Horse & Mule Market permit to conduct a horse and mule market at south- S.W. cot. Fifth & Sullivan Sts. west corner of Fifth and Sullivan Streets, was referred to the Planning Co~mmission for recommendatdon as no written or oral protests had been filed. On recom~en~atioo of tho Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Peona, seconded by McBride and carrieS, the appli=ation of J.H. At,field to con- duct a horse and ~ule market, was granted under special uses.
