RESOLUTION NO. 53--56 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />QUITCLAIM DEED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of ~enta Aha holds certain land which is <br /> <br />not presently used for any purpose and the Santa Aha Lions Club <br /> <br />desires to construct a building for the use of Boy Scout Troops <br /> <br />and other Youth Clubs which, it appears, will increase the recrea- <br /> <br />tional facilities of the community and generally benefit the peoples <br /> <br />of the City of Santa ~na; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Aha <br /> <br />hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council <br /> <br />to execute that certain quitclaim deed in consideration of $10.00, <br /> <br />to E. LEE SMITH, JOHN D. MAXV~ELL, DALE GRIGGS, A. ALLEN HALL and <br /> <br />HOWARD CURRAN, Trustees for the Santa ~na Lions Club, quitclaiming <br /> <br />to them all interest of the City of Santa Ana in and to that cer- <br /> <br />rain land in the County of Orange, State of California: <br /> <br />at <br /> <br /> / M~YOR - <br /> <br /> CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the center line of <br /> Anahurst Place, said center line b~eing the South line of <br /> Tract No. 597, as shown on a map recorded in Book 19, <br /> Page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, <br /> California, and the Easterly line of Broadway as extended <br /> Southeasterly to Main Street, as described in deed from <br /> Charles E. Lawrence et ux to the City of Santa Ana, Cali- <br /> fornia, dated February 26, 19&l and recorded in Book 1080, <br /> page &09 of Official Records of Orange County, California; <br /> thence Easterly along the said center line of Anahurst <br /> Place a distance of 109 feet, more or less, to a point which <br /> is at the intersection of the said center line of Anahurst <br /> Place with the East line of Lots 16 to 25 inclusive, in <br /> Block "B" of Tract No. 597, extended Southerly; thence <br /> Southerly along the said Southerly extended East line of <br /> Lots 16 to 25 inclusive, a distance of 161.58 feet, more or <br /> less, to a point in the Northeasterly line of Broadway as <br /> described in the aforementioned deed from Charles E. Lawrence <br /> et ux to the City of Santa Aha, said line being the arc of a <br /> curve concave to the Northeast with a radius of 25& feet; <br /> thence Northwesterly along the said curved line a distance <br /> of 200.20 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. <br /> Reserving a right of way over the North 30 feet of said <br /> premises as conveyed to the City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha <br />its regular meeting held on the 20th day of April, 1953. <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />
