RESOLUTION NO. ~-I02 PROPOS~G TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY, GIVING NOTICE OF THE TLME AND PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING ¥~LERE ALL PROTESTS WILL BE HEARD AND PASSED UPON, AND DESIGNATING THE NA~ OF "BAPTIST CHURCH ANNEXATION" AS A~N APPROPRIATE NA~ FOR SAID TERRITORY WHEREAS, The SOUTHERN MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH OF SANTA ANA has filed a petition requesting the City of Santa Ana, California to annex certain uninhabited territory to said City, consenting in writing that the property within said territory may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to such annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all that cer- tain territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabi- ted Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on ~/~ ~7, 1953, the date when said petition was filed, and which said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is de- scribed as: Beginning at the East quarter Section corner or.section 23, T. 5 S., R. l0 ~¥., S.B.B. & M.; running thence South 89° 31' 30" West ~50.00 feet alongothe quarter section line of said Section 23; thence North 0 12, East 229.25 feet; thence North 89° 27' 45" East 450.00 fe~t to a point in the East line of said Section 23; thence South 0° 12' West 229.7~ feet to the point of beginning. That the Council hereby designates "BAPTIST CHURCH ANNEXATION" as an appropriate name for said Annexation. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the 8th day of September, 1953 at the hour of 7:30 P. M. in the Council 0hambers of the City Hall at the intersection of Third and Main Streets in the City of Santa Aha, California, is the time and place fixed at which the City Coun- cil will hear protests made by any person owning real property with- in said territory so proposed to be annexed.
