Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />January 14th, 1935. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular adjourned session. <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Warner. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, Fred C. Rbwland, <br />W.H. Penn, Pl,~mmer W. Bruns, E.G. Warner. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Invitation <br /> <br />Calumpit Camp. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Pass-out Ohecks <br /> <br />at Dance Halls. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petition to <br /> <br />Open Flower St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the invitation from the members of Calumpit Camp United <br />Spanish War Veterans to a dinner to be held at the K.C. Hall <br /> <br />February 26th, 1935, was received and <br />attend · <br /> <br />Mr. E. A. Davison, 616 W. <br /> <br />all mmmbers urged to <br /> <br /> the Council <br />4th Street, appeared before/stat- <br /> <br />ing that th~ 0rdinan~e .prOhibiting the issuance of pass-out <br />checks at dance hall was not being enforced. On motion of <br />Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the Chair was <br />authorized to appoint a committee to investigate the <br />merit made by Mr. Davison why Ordinance is not being enforced. <br />Trustee Rowland and the City Attorney were appointed as the <br />csittee. <br /> <br />A petition was presented signed by property owners and reai- <br />dants in the vicinity of Flower Street requesting the openir~ <br />of Flower Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets. On motion <br />of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the petition <br />was referred to the Planning Commission for investigation as <br />to the feasibility and cost of the opening of Flower Street <br />between Fifth and Sixth Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
