Hamilton. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Water Main <br /> <br />on Grand Ave. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Monthly Reports. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the request of Mrs. Lulu Hall, representing the Women's <br />Relief Corps of Santa Aha, for a permit to plant a tree ~ <br />the Bower,s Memorial ~useum in honor of the Department Presi- <br />dent, ~rs. E~telle P. Gray of Santa Ana, was granted trader <br />the supervision of the Forestry Board. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layt0n and carried, <br />the co~m~nication of D. L. Magnet and. Mrs. E. J. Robinson <br />with reference to a' building in the south part of Santa Ana <br />suitable for the location of a Fire Station, was referred to <br />the Fire Commissioner and Chief for investigation and to <br />report back. On recon~endation of the Committee appointed <br />and on motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried <br />the communication of D. L. Magnet and Mrs. E. J. Robinson <br />relative to a Fire Station in the south part of Santa Aha, <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded Penn and carried, the <br />application of L. Lucio for a free permit to conduct a cir- <br />cus on the west side of Townsend Street between Second ar~i <br />Third Streets to be held May 10th and llth, under the auspi- <br />ces of the Mexican Benefit Society, was granted subject to <br />the approval of the Police Commissioner and Chief. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of 0. G. Cumingham, 320 S. Birch St.j City, <br />for permission to sell religious literature for the upkeep <br />of a free missionary training school and an orphanage with <br />headquarters located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of William L. Hamilton for permission to <br />conduct a commerci~.l poultry yard at 1721 W. Washington <br />Avenue, was granted on recommendation of the Sanitary <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Water Commissioner and Superinten- <br />dent and on motion of T~ustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and <br />carried, it was decided to install a four inch water main <br />on Grand Avenue between Seventeenth and Santa Clara Avenue <br />and to install one fire hydrant at the intersection of Santa <br />Clara Avenue and Grand Avenue. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> <br />the monthly reports of the City Officers for the month of <br />April, were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
