Lockhart.' <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electri6 Signs. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> <br />the communication of the Stanford Women's Club of 0fan, ge <br />County expressing appreciation for the use of the Bowerts <br /> <br />Museum, Saturday May 25th, was received a~d filed. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the communication of Emery E. 01son with reference to the <br />Seventh Annual Institute of Government short course to be <br />held June lOth to lath, inclusive, in L~s Angeles, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the invitation of the Inter-Community Relations Committee of <br />the Santa Aha Chamber of Commerce to attend the inspection <br />tour of the Long Beach and Los Angeles Harbors in connection <br />with Foreign Trade activities sponsored by the City of Long <br />Be~ch, Tuesday June 4th, was received and filed and the Clerk <br />instructed to acknowledge the invitation from the committee <br />with thanks. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the request of F. W. Lockhart, who is engaged in Merchant <br />Police Patrol on S. Main Street, to be placed in the City's <br />employ as a regular police officer in connection with his <br />patrol duties, was referred to the Chief of Police for dis- <br />position. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />and on recommendation of the Chief of Police, the request of <br />F. W. Lockhart to be employed as a regular police officer, <br />was denied. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the <br />applications of Gilbert-Weston-Stearns, Inc. to hang electric <br />signs for Hill & Carden, 301 W. ~th Street and G. Msuning, <br />218 Bush Street, were granted under supervision of the <br />Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br /> <br />
