Wade. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Budget !935-36. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Citizen's Committee <br /> <br />Dedication City Hall. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted <br />and the application of Jos. A. Friend to conduct a commercial <br />poultry yard at 2226 S. Towner Street, was granted. <br /> <br />There being no protests, <br />by Penn and carried, the <br /> <br />on motion of Trustee Bruns, <br />application of Shipkey & Pearson, <br /> <br />Inc., to construct a service station at the southwest corner <br />of Tenth and Broadway, was referred to the Planning Commissio <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted <br />and the application of Shipkey & Pearson, Inc. to construct <br />service station at Tenth and Broadway, was granted. <br /> <br /> Mayor Rowland and City Engineer McBride as a committee, sub- <br /> mitted the following as possible projects under W.P.A.: <br /> <br /> 1. Tree planting, removal of dead and diseased trees, <br /> tree surgery. <br /> 2. Painting Municipal Bowl bleachers. <br /> 3. Painting band stand and seats in Birch Park. <br /> 4. Sprinkler system at Birch Park. <br /> 5. Exdavating to grade following streets: Edgewood Road, <br /> N. Birch Street, E. Santa Clara Avenue, E. Cubbon <br /> Street and Grant Street. <br /> 6. Replacing old 2" water mains with 4" and 6" mains. <br /> 7. Santiago Creek from Main to Santa Ana Blvd. channel <br /> 8. Painting ornamental light poles. <br /> 9. Sewer on W. Washington, W. 8th and Hawley Street. <br /> 10. Street Culverts. <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the report of the committee was accepted and received, the <br />committee to continue, and the Engineer was instructed to <br />submit all or any portion of the projects for approval under <br />W.P.A. projects. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the ~air was authorized to appoint a committee of three fr~ <br />the Council to confer with the Planning Commission before <br />August 19th with reference to the application of Dr. Robert S <br />Wade to construct a physician's office on the northeast cor- <br />ner of Eighth and Bush Streets. Trustees Penn, Layton and <br />Smith were appointed as the committee. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the report and budget as set up by the City Auditor for the <br />year 1935-38 was approved subject to such additions and <br />corrections as may be deemed advisable at the time of the <br />tax levy. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> <br />a vote of thanks was extended to the Citizen's Committee for <br />the assistance and support at the cornerstone laying ceren <br />of the City Hall. <br /> <br /> <br />
