RESOLUTION NO. 53'143 APPROVING MAP, DECLARING ~T~NTION TO ABANDON A P0R i--~OF HICKORY STREET SOUTH OF MYRTLE AND NORTH OF BISHOP STREETS AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED ABANDONMENT WHr~REAS, the City Council after study, concluded that a portion of Hickory Street should be abandoned on the ground that the same is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented a map showing said por- tion of Hickory Street for the purpose of this proceeding; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said map be and the same is hereby approved and the Clerk of the Council is ordered to file the same in the proceedings for the vacation of that portion of Hickory Street hereinbelow described, that said map may be available for inspection by the public. BE IT FUR~R RESOLVED; That the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate and abandon a portion of Hickory Street as shown on an official map thereof adopted by this Resolution and ref- erence is hereby made to said map for further particulars; and That the portion of Hickory Street herein proposed to be aban- doned lies in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of Cali- fornia and described as: That portion of Hickory Street in Tract No. 3~3 South of the South line of Myrtle Street, said portion of Hickory Street being 50 feet wide from East to West, 141.26 feet on the East side and 150 feet on the West side; That the 16th day of November, 1953 at the hour of 7:30 P. M. on said day in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Third and Main Streets in the City of Santa Ana, California is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed abandonment of said portion of Hickory Street. That the City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed with this v~ca~ion o£ a portion of Hickory Street under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 19~l, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
