RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING T[~5~ CONDEMNATION OF A CERTAIN PARCEL <br /> OF REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC USE FOR THE LOCATION OF A PUBLIC <br /> BUILDING AND DECLARING THE PUBLIC ~CESSITY THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there now exists in the City of Santa Ana, immediate <br />need for a building to house, safeguard and preserve for the entire <br />public of said City, many objects of historical interest for the <br />education and instruction of all the citizens of the City of Santa <br />Aha, both minors and adults; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, B~ IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa ~na does hereby find and determine that the public in- <br />terest and necessity require that a public building be constructed <br />to house, safeguard and preserve the ever increasing number of ob- <br />jects of ~istorical value for the education, instruction and enjoy- <br />ment of the citizens of the City of Santa Aha and to house, safe- <br />guard and preserve numerous objects of great historical value and <br /> <br /> interest that have been offered to or will be in the near future, <br />given to the City of Santa Aha and to accommodate the present and <br />future demands for museum facilities in said City and that said pub- <br />lic interest and necessity require that said City do have, take and <br />acquire in fee for said purpose, that certain parcel of land lying <br />in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California and <br />described as follows: <br /> <br /> Lot 4 in Block B of Re-subdivision of Block "A~ and "B" <br /> of t~e Orange Grove Tract, in the City of Santa Aha, County <br /> of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof <br /> recorded in Book l, at page l~, of Niscellaneous Record <br /> Maps, records of said Orange County; <br /> EXCEPT the interest in the East 4~ feet of said lot which <br /> was conveyed to the City of Santa Aha for street purposes by <br /> <br />for <br /> <br /> deed recorded July 29, <br />such public improvement. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: <br /> <br />1903 in Book 92, at page 172 of Deeds, <br /> <br />That the City Attorney be and he is <br /> <br />hereby ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the <br />City of Santa Aha in the ~uperior Court of the State of California <br />in and for the County of Orange, for condemnation of said property <br /> <br /> <br />
