Newport <br />Harbor Chamber of Commerce, thanking the Council for it~ <br />assistance in regard to project for extending So.Flower <br />St. to Ne~ort Blvd. was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and <br />carried, D.K.Hamm~nd, Director, Santa Ana Jr. College, <br />was granted permission to use Birch Park, for Commencem~ <br />Exercises, June 18th, at & P.M. and to arrange with <br />Chief of Police for rerouting traffic. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and <br />carried, the application of T. Wayne Walker for a <br />permit to drive a taxicab for the Courtesy Cab Co. <br />was referred to the TaxicsD Commission for recommendati~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and <br />carried, the application of Rev. M.L.Brinson for per- <br />mission to solicit funds for Church at l@~0 W.2nd St., <br />was referred to the Standing Committee, composed of <br />Bruns, Layton and Phil Brown. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Stuns and carri~ <br />application of Deco Adv. Co. to hang electric sign for <br />The Ice House, 1708 No. Main St. was referred to the <br />Electrical Inspector for inspection and to be hung <br />under his supervision. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and <br /> carried, application to hang electric sign for The Ice <br /> House, 1708 No. Main St. was granted subject to the <br /> approval of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carri <br /> application of C.~.Trusty & Sons to erect one Neon sign <br /> at 1O01 No. Main St. for Institution of ~,~usical Arts, <br /> was granted under superkvision of the Electrical <br /> <br />Inspector. <br /> <br /> <br />
