Penney Company at Fourth and <br /> Bush Streets, on the Bush Street side, was granted under the <br /> supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On ~otion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the report of progress for the month of June, 1936, of the <br />Metropolitan Water District, was referred to the City Auditor <br />to be condensed into a briefer report for the City Council. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of W. A. Atkinson and 0has. F. Hawthorne to <br />have the property known as Lots I and 2, Block "B", Gardner <br />Subdivision, southwest corner of Eighth and Birch Streets, <br />rezoned from Residential to First Class Apartment House Dis- <br />trict, was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Comnission and on mot ion of <br />T~ustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the property <br />at the southwest co~ner of Eighth and Birch Streets was <br />ordered posted for First Class Apartment House District and <br />the Joint hearing date set August l?th, 1936. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the protest of property owners against the rezoning of West <br />First Street between Ross and Patton Streets for Business <br />Zone, was referred to Trustees Layton, B~uns and Penn for <br />inve s tigati on. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and car~led, <br />the application of Mrs. Frank Valdez, representing Our Lady <br />of Guadalupe Church, 130~ E.
