RESOLUTION NO. 54-50 Oi~IERING
<br />VACATION, ABANDO~ENT, AND CLOSING
<br />OF A PORTION OF GRAND AVENUE
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, on the 15th day of March, 1954, the City
<br />Council regularly passed and adopted Resolution No. 54-25, declaring its
<br />intention to vacate a portion of Grand Avenue, which said resolution was
<br />regularly published and posted as required by law; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearing was regularly held on the 5th day of April,
<br />1954, the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Santa Aha,
<br />California, upon due notice in said resolution and said posted notices con-
<br />tained;
<br />
<br /> NOW, Tku~REFORE, AFTER DUE HEARING, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, from all the evidence submitted,
<br />that that portion of Grand Avenue hereinbelow and in said resolution described,
<br />is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes.

<br /> BE IT FURTHER BESOLVED: That said City Council hereby makes its
<br />Order vacating, abandoning and closing up for street purposes, that portion of
<br />Grand Avenue in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California,
<br />described as:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 73, of "Santa Aha Grand
<br /> Avenue Trac~", as shown on a map recorded in Book 26, at pages 53 and
<br /> 54, of ~scellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence
<br /> North 28 40' 05" East, along the Westerly line of said Lot 73, 37.83
<br /> feet to a point in the East line of Grand Avenue, 60.00 feet wide, as
<br /> described in the deed recorded May 10, 1892, in Book 63, at pa~e 230,
<br /> of Deeds, records of Orange County, California; thence North 0v 10' 15"
<br /> West, along said East line, 246.76 feet to an intersection with the
<br /> East line of Grand Avenue, 80.00 feet wide, as described in the deed
<br /> recorded April ~, 1935, in Book 747, at page 85, of Official Records,
<br /> records of said Orange County, said point being on a curve concave
<br /> Westerly and having a radius of 2040.00 feet; thence Southerly along
<br /> said curve through a central angle of 5° 41' 08" au arc distance of
<br /> 202.44 feet to a line tangent; thence South llOll' 25" West, along
<br /> said tangent line, 81.21 feet to an intersection with the Westerly
<br /> extension of the South line of said Lot 73; thence South 89° 50' 25"
<br /> East, along said extension, 27.72 feet to the point of beginning.
