In accordance with the provisions of Section 1777.5 of the Labor Code as amended by Cha~ter 971, Statutes of 19~9, and in accordance with the regulations of the California ^Dprenticeship Council, properly indentured apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the work. The. bidd~ must submit with his Oroposal a satisfactory check certified by a responsible bank and payable to the order of the City of Santa Ara, or a bidder's bonO, for an~amount not less than ten (10) per cent of the agaregate sum of th& b~d, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract if t~e same is awarded to him, and In event of failure to enter into such contract said check or bo~d shall become the proDerty of the City. No bid will be acceDted f?o~n ~ C~xtractor who is not licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Contractor's License Act, or to whom a Droposal form has not been issued by the Director of Public Works. The Work is to be'done in accordance with the profiles, plans and specifications of the City of Santa Ara on file ~n the office of the ]~rector of Public ~orks, Room 201, of the City Hall of Santa Ama, California.
