RESOLUTION NO. ~*-83 I~RRING TO THE PLANNING COM- <br />MISSION THE QUESTION OF AM]~BMENT OF THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADD T~9~TO AN "M LIGHT MANUFACTURING <br />DISTRICT." <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is presently an active d-mamd for change in District <br />Classification from R-l, R-2, R-3, P, C, C-l, and/or C-2 to a District <br />Classification which would allow manufacturing and industry of light or <br />less objectionable nature than is allowed in an M-1 Manufacturing District, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there are inquiries from industry which seeks location in <br />a District in which the quality of the buildings and the uses allowed would <br />meet certain minimum standards to maintain the integrity of the area. <br /> <br /> NOW, TN~EWORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby re- <br />fers to the Planning Corem1 ssion for study, recommendation and action to <br />amend Section 9102 and to add a new Section or Sections to be numbered <br />91lO.lO et.seq, to create a new district classification to be known as <br />"M Light Manufacturing District" to allow uses which are less objection- <br />able than uses allowed in an M-1.Manufacturing District but which uses <br />permit light manufacturing, and in which new district the type of building <br />permitted would be regulated to maintain the integrity of the area. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ama at <br />its regular meeting held on the 7th day of June, 195&. <br /> <br />t o-wit: <br /> <br />AYES, COUNCILMEN: William Jerome, J.
