RE~0LUTION NO. 54-153 AUTHORIZING ~CUTION OF QUITCLAIM
<br />D~J~ TO SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY COVERING THREE
<br />RAILROAD CROSSINGS NOW CLOSED BY FREEWAY CONSTRUCTION
<br />WITHOUT PAYMENT OF MONEY.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the construction of the Santa Aha Freeway has resulted in the
<br />
<br />closing of three railway crossings and the City of Santa Aha has no further need
<br />
<br />of said crossings except as to certain easements hereinbelow reserved.
<br />
<br />NOW, THEJtEFO~E, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of
<br />
<br />Santa Aha hereby authorizes its Mayor to execute that certain Indenture quit-
<br />
<br />claiming all the city's interest in and to the real property in said city,
<br />
<br />County of Orange, State of California, described as:
<br />
<br />PARCEL A:
<br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land situate in the City of
<br />Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, in the Santiago de
<br />~anta Ana Rancho, described as follows:
<br />
<br /> Being that portion of the strip of land 100 feet wide, described
<br />in the Deed, dated October 8, 1877 to the Los Angeles and SanDiego
<br />Railroad Con~0any, recorded in Book 57, page 370 of Deeds, in the
<br />Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, lying be-
<br />tween the northerly prolongations of the easterly and westerly lines
<br />of Bush Street,60 feet wide, shown on map of the Re-subdivision of
<br />Phelps Subdivision, recorded in Book 5, Page 35 of Miscellaneous
<br />Records, in the Office of the Recorder of said Orange County, bounded
<br />northeasterl~ by the northeasterly line of said strip 8f land, bear-
<br />ing North 26~ 39' 40" West and a line bearing North 30 16' 18" West
<br />from the intersection of said northeasterly line with the center line
<br />of said Bush Street, and bounded southwesterly by the southwesterly
<br />line of said strip of land, that is parallel with and 100 feet south-
<br />westerly, at right angles, ~rom said northeasterly line having a
<br />bearing of North 26° 39' 40' West, containing an area of 12,990 square
<br />feet, more or less.

<br /> RESERVING~ however, an easement for sanitary sewer purposes over
<br />a strip of land 10 feet in width, within above described property, ly-
<br />ing 5 feet on each side of said center line of Bush Street, the side
<br />lines of said strip to terminate in the northeasterly and southwesterly
<br />boundary lines described above, containing an area of 2,182 square
<br />feet, more or less;

<br /> ALSo RESERVING an easement for storm drain purposes over a strip
<br />of land 10 feet in width, within above-described property, lying 5
<br />feet on each side of a line which is distant westerly 25 feet,
<br />measured at right angles, from said center line of Bush Street, the
<br />side lines of said strip to terminate in the northeasterly and south-
<br />westerly boundary lines as described above, containing an area of
<br />2,118 square feet, more or less.

<br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land situate in the City of
<br />Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, in the Santiago de
<br />Santa Ama Rancho, being a portion of the strip of land 100 feet wide,
<br />described in the deed dated October 8, 1877 to the Los Angeles and
<br />San Diego Railroad Company, recorded in Book 57, page370 of Deeds in
