Council Chambers <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />January 3rd, 1538. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Rowland. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />Each T~ustee having received a copy of the Minutes, <br />further reading of the Minutes of December 20th, 1~37, <br />was dispensed with and the Minutes were approved on <br />motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Frank W. Loose. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />~. K. Jewett. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Sign. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the application of Frank W. Loose, Trustee for the Estate of <br /> John Michelson, for a permit for temporary doctor's office <br /> on Lot l, Block B, Goodwin's Addition, known as the Southeast <br /> corner of 17th and Bush Streets, was referred to the Plan- <br /> ning Commission. <br /> <br /> Upon recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion <br /> of Trustee Layt0n, seconded by Smith and carried, the appli- <br /> cation of Frank W. Loose for a permit for temporary doctor's <br /> office at the Southeast corner of 17th and Bush Streets, was <br /> denied. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> <br /> the application of R. K. Jewett for change of zone on Lot 8, <br /> known aa the Southeast corner of ~th & Paci <br />Block 2, Pacific Electric Subdivision of the Ross Tract,/f~cm <br /> <br />Business Zone to Courts & Apartment House Zone, was referred <br />to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Concurring with the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br />on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />action on the application of R. K. Jewett, was deferred for <br />two weeks pending receipt of a set of building plans. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On mo$ion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of the Powell Neon Sign Company to hang an <br />electric sign for Frank's Coffee Shop at 502 N.
