Council Chambers <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />March ?th, 1938. ?:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular'session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Rowland. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Plummet W. Stuns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />Each Trustee having received a copy of the Minutes, <br />further reading of the Minutes o'f February 21st, 193S, <br />was dispensed with and the Minutes were approved on <br />motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />George R. Lee to erect a service station on First Street <br /> between Shelton and Baker Streets, was referred back to the <br /> Planning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> No w~itten or oral protests having been presented, on motion <br /> of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the applica- <br /> tion of Horace C. Head to construct a duplex on Lot 10, Bloc~ <br /> B, Warner's Subdivision of Blocks C and F of Dresser Tract, <br /> iocated on Spurgeon Street, was referred to Planning Commiss! <br /> <br /> There being no written or oral protests, on motion of Trustee <br /> Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, the application of <br /> Merle M. and Ira G. Hall and Harold H. and Ethel Ellis Fish <br /> to construct a duplex on Lots 3 and 4, all except the East <br /> 17 feet of Lot 4, Block D, Wakeham Place, was referred back <br /> to the Planning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the application of Wm. Iverson to erect a two-story stucco <br /> apartment house on the southeast corner of Fifth and Van Ness <br /> Streets, was referred to ~he Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On ~otion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the application of W. B. Scott to erect a frame and stucco <br /> building on Lot 28, Tract 474, being on West Fifth Street <br /> between Bristol and Baker Streets, was referred to the Plan- <br /> ning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br />.# <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the petition of physicians with eleven signatures attached <br /> requesting the privilege of maintaining doctor's offices in <br /> the residential district and particularly in the section of <br /> North Broadway to Seventeenth Street, was referred to the <br /> <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
