RESOLUTION NO. 54-170 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br />TO CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY <br />DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNAT~ "FRANK BORCHARD ANNEX NO. 2", <br />AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR BEARING OF PROTESTS <br />THERETO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the owners of certain real property hereinbelow described <br />have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the <br />City of Santa Ana, California, annex said real property, stating that the <br />same is uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real property ~y be <br />taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to <br />such annexation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California, has <br />approved the description of said real property as herein set out for the <br />purpose of annexation and the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has approved <br />the annexation of said territory; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all that certain territory <br />under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 <br />and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since <br />it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on October 14, 1954, the <br />date when said petition was fi~d, that said territory is contiguous to the <br />City of Santa Aha, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described <br />as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point in the East line of Sec. 14, T.5 S., Range lO <br />West of the S.B.B.&M., distant North 0° 13' 29" West 1361.14 feet from the <br />Southeast corner of said Section l~; thence along the Santa Ana City Boundary <br />line North 89° 58' 49" West 2639.51 feet; thence North O° ll' 41" West 12~O.06 <br />feet; thence along the Santa Aha City Boundary Line North 89° 49' 20" East <br />2638.81 feet to the East line of said Section 14; thence along the Santa Ana <br />City Boundary Line being the East line of Section 14, South O° 13' 29" East <br />1299.16 feet to the point of beginning. Containing an area of approximately <br />78.436 Acres. <br /> <br /> That the Council hereby designated "FRANK BORCHARD ANNEX NO. 2" as an <br />appropriate name for said annexation. <br /> <br /> That said City Council hereby declares its intention to and it will <br />annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Aha Elementary School <br />District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Ana Junior College District <br />and upon the completion of said annexation, said territory shall be and become <br /> <br />a part of said School Districts. <br /> <br /> <br />
