D. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> E. D. Most, D. W. Kel.sey, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and <br />each member of the City Council having received a <br />copy of the Minutes, further reading of the Minutes <br />of June 5th, 1939, was dispensed with and the Minutes <br />approved on motion of Trustee Most, ~econded by Bruns <br />and carried~ <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application--United <br /> <br />Spanish War Veterans. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Appointment <br /> <br />Paul V. Banks. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Yost, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the application of the United Spanish War Veterans for a free <br />permit to hold a carnival, July 3rd to 9th, inclusive on the <br />Union Pacific grounds on the south side of East Fourth Street <br />was denied. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Chief of Police and on motion of <br />~rustee Bruns, seconded by Kelsey and carried, the applica- <br />tion of Paul V. Banks for appointment as a special police <br />officer, without pay, was granted. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
