<br />City Auditor Lloyd H. Banks
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
<br />
<br /> THAT, WHEREAS, there ham been removed from our
<br /> midst, by the untimely and unexpected passing of
<br /> Lloyd H. Ba~km, City Auditor and Purchasing Agent,
<br /> one of our most valued and respected citizens and
<br /> public officials; and
<br /> WHEREAS, by much untimely Damming, the City of
<br /> Santa Ama ham suffered a severe and almost irreplaceable
<br /> loms, which loms will be deeply and permonally felt
<br /> by all City Officials'and employees;
<br /> NOW, THE~EFORE,R this City Council in Public Meeting
<br /> assembled, does hereby publicly express and record, in
<br /> the reeordm of this city, the sincere sorrow fel~ by
<br /> all persons who have had the opportunity of knowing
<br /> Lloyd H.
<br /> AND IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, inmofar am words can
<br /> express, t~a$ on behalf of the Olty of Santa ~na,
<br /> sympathy and condoleneem are extended to him bereaved
<br /> wife and damghterm, with the..hope that some small
<br /> comfort may be derived from knowledge that the entire
<br /> City Joins in their deep grief;
<br /> And as a token of the love and respect held for our
<br />departed public servant, it'lm ordered that all
<br />officlal'buminesm of the City of Santa Ann ~hall be
<br />mumpended-~uring the time tha~ final ceremonies are
<br />'being~performed in his memory between the hours of
<br />tmn'an~ twelve o'clock on the morning of November the
<br />fourth, nineteen hundred and forty,one, and that the
<br />flags on all public municipal buildings be displayed
<br />at half staff until after such oeremonlem.

<br /> in.the archives of this City, and a suitably executed
<br /> copy thereef~be furnished to the bereaved family.
