<br />for expenditure of 1/4 Cent gas tax.

<br />the monthly reports of city officers for the month of March,
<br />were referred to the Finance Committee.

<br />On motion of Trustee Hill, seconded by Yost and carried,
<br />the invitation of Santa Ana Post ~l~l of the American Legion
<br />to attend an open meeting on Child Welfare, April BAth at
<br />8:00 P.M., in the Legion Hall, wae received, acknowledged
<br />and filed.

<br />An affidavit of posting Notices to Destroy Weeds having been
<br />filed by J. L. McBride, Street Buperintendent, on motion of
<br />Trustee Hill, seconded by Keleey and carried, the following
<br />Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> #A Resolution ordering the Street Buperlntendent to abate
<br /> the public nuisance heretofore declared by the City Council
<br /> of the City of Santa Ana, to-wit: Weeds which bear see~la
<br /> of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth
<br /> as to become a fire menace when dry and which are noxious
<br /> and dangerous, growing upon certain streets, sidewalks and
<br /> private property in the City of Santa Ana, by having the
<br /> weeds referred to removed."
