<br />Santa Ana's valuation/for 1941-194~ at $25,214,848.00, was

<br />received, filed and referred to the City Auditor.

<br />On motion of Trustee Smith~ seconded by Hill and carried,

<br />the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> #An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, California, fixing
<br /> the amount of money ascertained to carry on the various de-
<br /> partments of the City of Santa Aha, and to pay the bonded
<br /> indebtedness falling due for the current year 1941-1942, and
<br /> fixing the rate o.f taxation for the current year 1941-1942,
<br /> designating the number of cents on each $100.00 for the
<br />.various funds of said City, on the whole of the taxable pro-
<br /> perty of said City as set by the County Assessor of the
<br /> ty of Orange, State of California, and equalized by the
<br /> of Supervisors of said County, and hereby levied on the whol,
<br /> of the taxable property of said City.#

<br />the communication from Geo. E. Stratemeyer, Colonel, Air Ocr
<br />advising that War Department had approved the site known as
<br />the Whittier Estate, for use as a Military Reservation and
<br />Air Corps Replacement Center, was received, acknowledged and
<br />referred to the City Attorney to prepare the necessary papers
<br />to consummate this deal.
