335 <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Smith. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees E.D.Yost, Allen A. Mandy, <br /> D.W.Kelsey, Joseph P. Smith. <br />Absent: Trustees Plummer W. Bruns <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each <br />member of the City Council having received coi~ies of the <br />Minutes of March 1st, further reading of the Minutes <br />was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Yost, <br />seconded by Mandy and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Mrs. Chas. M. Plum requesting that <br />the City build one or two booths to be placed on side- <br />walks for the sale of War stamps and bonds, was received <br />and on motion of Trustee Kelsey, seconded by Yost and <br />carried, the Auditor was instructed to purchase material <br />and construct two satisfactory booths for the Women's <br />Auxilliary of the Bond Sales Drive; said booths to be <br />the property of the City and to be placed on the side- <br />walks subject to the approval of the Chief of Police, <br />and Auditor to ascertain that they are properly covered <br />by insurance in order to protect the City and their use <br />made available to various civic organizations for such <br />public events. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Yost and carried <br />request of E.D.Wheeler for leave of absence from April <br />1st to November 1st, 1945, was granted and communication <br />ordered filed. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />The report of H.M.Neighbour, City Engr. that an agreemen <br />be entered into with the City of Tustin, reference to <br />dumping of trash at the City dump was read, mad on <br />motion of Trustee Yost, seconded by Mandy and carried, <br />the recommendation of the City Engr. was concurred in <br />and proper arrangements be made, by agreement, with the <br />City of Tustin for dumping of trash at the City Dump. <br /> <br />The report of H.M.Neighbour, City Engr. that the overhea <br />light fastened on the wall of the Tiernan Typewriter <br />Bldg., in the alley between Main and Sycamore St. be <br />moved about l0 ft. we~t of the present location in order <br />to light the rear of the Reliance Title Co. building and <br />the exit from the West Coast Theatre, was read, and on <br />motion of Trustee Yost, seconded by ~,Iandy and carried, <br />the recommendation of the City Engineer was concurred in <br />with reference to overhead light in alley between Main <br />and Sycamore Streets. <br /> <br /> <br />
