Janitor Supply & <br /> <br />Health Dept. <br /> <br />Council Chambers <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br /> <br />June 7th, 1943. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Haan, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />E.B.Sprague was appointed on the Bowers Memorial Museum Board <br />to fill vacancy created by the death of T.E.Stephenson. <br /> <br />Communication from Grace A. <br />weed~ growing C~¢urbfng on <br /> <br /> Gregory reference to <br /> <br />the west side of Spurgeon St., <br /> <br />south of Third St., was read, and on motion of Trustee Haan, <br />seconded by Deckert and carried, matter was referred to the <br />Street Department for investigation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />the request of Lewis S. Hoff, Secy. South Santa Ana Church of <br />Christ to erect a directional sign at the corner of Occidental <br />and South Main St., was referred to the Street Superintendent, <br />with power to act. <br /> <br />A communication from Morton Grodzins, Research Assistant, <br />University of California, requesting copies of any City <br />Resolutions, Ordinances, Restrictions, etc. which have been <br />passed by the Council relative to California Japanese, was <br />read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney, and carried, <br />Resolution was introduced protesting the return of Japanese, <br />now stationed in Japanese relocation centers, to their former <br />prewar homes and places of business on the Pacific Coast. <br /> <br />The ResolUtion was read, considered, designated Resolution <br /> <br />No. 3231 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br />Absent, Trustees <br /> <br />Dale G.
