<br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried,
<br />communication from Georgia Wyckoff, Commander, Santa Ana
<br />Navy Mothers Club #25?, expressing their thanks for the
<br />privilege of having "Tag Day", July Srd, 1945, was received
<br />and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the applications of Antonio Papietro, Stanley E.
<br />Blancher, Albert W. King and Grace M. ~essinger, to drive
<br />taxicabs for the Broadway Cab Co., and application of
<br />Merle V. Hart to drive a bus for the Santa Ana Bus Co.,
<br />were received and permits granted.
<br />
<br />Communication from Mrs. Laura Boyd reference to unsanitary
<br />condition of rabbit and chicken pens in the 400 block on
<br />Orange Ave., was read, and on motion of Trustee Deckert,
<br />seconded by Cheney and carried, the matter was referred to
<br />the Health Commissioner and Health Department to correct
<br />this condition.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee D~xon, seconded by Deckert and carried,
<br />the bond of Joe E. Harless, Asst. Treasurer, in the amount
<br />of $25,000.00, written by the Hartford Accident and Indemnit~
<br />Co., was approved and ordered placed on file.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Dixon,. seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />the report of the Santa Aha Public Library for the fiscal
<br />year ending June 50th, 1945, was accepted and filed.
<br />
<br />The Clerk read the application of Hugh J. Staton and A. Lee
<br />Staton for a permit to operate the Broadway Cab Co., and
<br />application for permit to operate the Broadway Cab Co., at
<br />505 North Broadway, was referred, by the Chair to the Street
<br />Commissioner, Police Con~nissioner and City Attorney.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign an agreement,
<br />this authority to be exercised only when said Mayor and Cler~
<br />are so authorized by the other parties to said Orange County
<br />Joint 0utfall Sewer Agreements, with C.D.Samuels and Sam
<br />Walker, doing business under the fictitious name of Agricul-
<br />tural Laboratory, of Orange County, California, covering
<br />the sale of sludge from the Joint 0utfall Sewer Treatment
<br />P~ant.
