Shires for damages done to his car by City crew <br /> whilepainting on the pavement on Bishop Street, October ?th, <br /> <br /> 1949, was referred to the City Attorney for action. <br /> # <br /> On recommendation of the Fire Chief and on motion of Trustee <br /> Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the Clerk was authorized to <br /> advertise for bids Covering the furnishing cf four transmitting <br /> units installed in the four fire stations, together with speaker <br /> units properly coupled to the present fire alarm circuits; bids tc <br /> <br /> be opened January 16th, 1950. <br /> . <br /> On motion of Trustee chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br /> report of Diehl & Company covering ~he period ending Sept. 30, <br /> 1949 and statement of condition of funds as of Sept. 30, 1949, <br /> <br /> were received and filed. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Ch--diet, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved that a por- <br /> tion of South Broadway which angles over to and Joins South Main <br /> Street be named "Broadway Place", and that that portion of South <br /> Broadway which is practically parallel to South Main Street and <br /> <br /> lying south of Anahurst Place be known as South Broadway. <br /> # <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved that a <br /> variance be granted to Arthur P. and Bernice D. Hendersen to make <br /> ~wo lots out of the lot at the northwest corner of Oxford Street <br /> and Orange Avenue and the rear 50 feet of the lot adjoining on'the <br /> north, and to erect a residence on each lot, and to permit a front <br /> yard of the most westerly of the proposed lots to be not less than <br /> <br /> 25 feet, and variance granted. <br /> . <br /> On motion of T~ustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved that a <br /> variance be granted to B.L. and Mary L.
