RESOLUTION NO. ~-39 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ~Jq~CEX- <br />ATION TO CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED <br />TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED ~STATE A3~D <br />ALLSTATE ANNEX"~ AND GIVING NOTICE OF TI1ME AND PLACE FOR <br />I~LRING OF PROTESTS TKERETO <br /> <br /> WHEiqF~, the owners of certain real property hereinbelow described <br /> have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council~ requesting tb~t the City <br /> of Santa Ana, California, annex said real property, stating tb~t the same is <br /> uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real property may be taxed to pay <br /> any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to such annexation~ and <br /> <br /> %~R~, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California~ has <br /> approved the description of said real property as herein set out for the purpose <br /> of annexation and the Planning Corr~ssion of Santa Aha has approved the annexation <br /> of said territory; <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of <br /> Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all t~t certain territory under <br /> the provisions of the ~nnexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds <br /> and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninb~bited since it had less <br /> <br /> than 12 registered voters residing in it on February 14 , 1955, the date <br /> <br /> when said petition was filed~ that said territory is contiguous to the City of <br /> Santa Aha, California~ lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the monvumented center lines of <br /> Mabury Street and Fourth Street~ said point being in 'the East boundary <br /> line of the City of Santa ~%na~ California, running thence North 89° <br /> 13' 40~' East along said center line of Fourth Street, 975.09 feet 'to <br /> an intersection with the Northerly extension of the East line of Lot 16, <br /> of the Maybury Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 36, at page 65, <br /> of ~scellaneous Records~ in the office of the County Recorder of Los <br /> Angeles County, California; thence South 0° 33' 05" East along said <br /> extension~ the East line of said Lot 16 and the Southerly extension of <br /> said East line, 955.~feet 'to a ~oint ~n the South line of First Street, <br /> 66.00 feet wide; thence South 89° 07' 30': West along said South line; <br /> 610.26 feet to an angle point in 'the City Boundary of the City of <br /> Santa Ana~ California; thence South 89° 07' 30" West along said City <br /> · boundary and said South line 363.18 feet to an intersection with the <br /> Southerly extension of sai~ mon~nented center line of ~bury Street; <br /> thence North 0° 39' 00" West~ along said extension and center line and <br /> along said City Boundary line 957.27 feet to the point of begirming. <br /> <br /> ~]at said Conncil hereby designated "STA?E Ai'~AI~LSTATE A~fEX~' as an <br />appropriate name for said annexation. <br /> <br /> That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will annex <br />said territory to and include it within tbs Santa Aha Elementary School District, <br />Santa A~a Nigh School District and Santa Ann Junior College District and upon the <br />completion of said annexation~ said territory s~ll be and become a pax't of said <br />School District. <br /> <br /> <br />
