Brazeal to drive <br /> a bus for the Santa Ana Bus Co., was denied for the <br /> reason that the Ordinance provides that drivers must be <br /> twenty-one years of age. <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the Chief of Police and on motion <br /> of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon ~nd carried, the <br /> application of Kenneth Dale Merrick to drive a taxi for <br /> the Broadway Cab Co., was denied. <br /> <br />The request of the Chief of Police for appointment of <br />Lorraine Barker, as File Clerk, in the Police Department <br />was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by <br />Cheney and csrried, the request was tabled until next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />The motion of Trustee Dixon to deny the request of the <br />Chief of Police for appointment of Lorraine Barker, as <br />File Clerk, was lost for lack of a second. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br /> Co.Health Officer, <br />Communication from Edw. Lee Russell, M.D./with reference <br /> <br />to City of Newport Beach being ~dmitted as a member <br />city of the Joint 0utfall Sewer, was received and <br />filed. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Chancy and <br />carried, the communication of Grover L. Wa~ters, and <br />Minutes of the Joint 0utfall Sewer Board held December <br />?th, 1944 and December 2~nd, 1944, were received and <br />filed without further action. The Council at its <br />meeting of December 18th, 1944 passed a motion signifyin <br />their willingness to accept the offer of Newport Beach <br />to make a connection at the new site with an additional <br />rental payment of $600.00 per year rental for the' use <br />of the additional facilities. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the monthly reports of the Building Inspector <br />for the City of Santa Ana and for City of Tustin, for <br />December, 1944 and Judge's report for the period Dec. <br />5th to Dec. 31st, 1944, were received arid filed. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrants <br />according to demands as audited by the Finance Committee <br />numbering 1208 to 1420 inclusive. <br /> <br /> <br />
