Townsend, dba The Colony, ll6 E. 4th St., an( stating that unless another protest is received allegtn that issuance of license would be contrary to Zoning Ordinance, matter could not be scheduled for a hearing, was read, and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was received and file~ ,, Communication from Diehl & Co. advising that they had completed the quarterly examination of the books and accounts of the City of Santa Ana for the quarter endin December 31, 1944, was read an~ on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was received and filed. ,, Communication from City Attorney of Anaheim enclosing certified copy of Resolution of Board of Directors of Waste Water Disposal Co. ratifying agreement between that company and the members of the Joint 0utfall Sewer Trustee was read and on motion of/Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, Resolution was ordered filed with the agreement between the member Cities and Sanitary Districts of the Joint 0utfall Sewer and Waste '~ater Disposal Company. Communications from County Tax Collector stating that the South half of Lot 5 and the North half of Lot 6, Block "E", Tract No. 284; Lot 3 of the Parker Tract and Lot 28, Block "B" of Tract No. 638, located in the City of Santa Ana,weuld be sold at public auction, was read. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advise the County Tax Collector that the City Council consents to the sale at public auction of these lots. Communication from Chief of Police recommending that Sgt. N.C.Nelson be granted sick leave for a period of not less than two months, on recommendation of his physician, was read and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, leave of absence was granted.
