Cohrt, dba H.R.B~inkerhof$,308-12 E. Third <br /> St., was received and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br /> carried, applications of Elmer H. Hunt and Merideth J. <br /> Independent Cab Co., and <br /> Sanders, to drive taxicabs for th~Broadway Cab Co., <br /> <br /> were granted and Clerk authorized to issue licenses. <br /> <br /> A motion was made by Trustee Deckert, seconded by <br /> Trustee Cheney that the appllcati~ons of Santa Ana Neon <br /> Co. to hang neon signs for Ivants Cafe, 602 E. 4th St.; <br /> Markham Appliance Frigidaire, 121 E. 5th St.,; and <br /> applications of Powell Neon Sign Co. to hang neon signs <br /> for Home Appliance Co. C.W.Harrison, 302 No. Sycamore <br /> St.; Wm. Iverson, 2130 So. Main St.; Newman Bowen <br /> Cleaners, llO E. 1st and Three-O-Two Cafe and Cocktail <br /> Lounge, 302 N. Main St., were received and filed. <br /> <br />The motion of Trustee Deckert that the Chie~ Building <br />Inspector be advised that in the future applications <br />for erection of electric signs be filed and not referre <br />to the Council, was lost for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Roll was called on the original motion, as follows: <br /> <br />Roll Call: Trustees Ayes Dale G. Deckert, W.J. Chene <br /> Trustees Noes W. Eugene Dixon, <br /> Asa Hoffman <br /> Trustees Absent Otto R. Haan <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, applications for erection of neon signs were <br />held over for thirty days. <br /> <br />A petition was presented containing thirty-one names <br />of property owners and residents in the vicinity of W. <br />19th St. between Main and Broadway, requesting that an <br />overhead street light be placed on W. 19th St. between <br />Main and Broadway. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, matter was referred to Street Superintendent <br />and Trustee Cheney with power to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. llll <br /> Entitled "An Ordinance of the City of Santa <br /> Ana, Providing for the Installation, <br /> Regulation and Control of the Use of Parking <br /> Meters" and Repealing Section 6a of Ordinance <br /> No. 1129" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1147 <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />?l <br /> <br /> <br />
