Cornecl <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Beverage Application <br /> <br /> checks of the unsuccessful bidders. <br /> <br /> The recommendation of the City Auditor that the bid of <br /> the Santa Aha Register is the lowest and has a greater <br /> circulation than the Or,nMe County Reporter, and that <br /> contract for legal advertising should be awarded to the <br /> Santa Aha Register, was read. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br /> carried, the recommendation of the Auditor was concurre¢ <br /> in and contract covering City Advertising was awarded t¢ <br /> the Santa Ana Register. <br /> <br /> The application of the Pacific Electric Ry. Co. for <br /> authority to abandon and remove 2420 feet of double <br /> track on 4th St. from a point near French St. westerly <br /> to the end of the line, and to relocate track across <br /> the southerly part of 4th St. and two tracks across 3rd <br /> S t. and to construct two tracks across 2nd St. at <br /> depot yard near French St., was read. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Che~?y and <br /> carried, the application of the Pacific Electric <br /> Railway Company to abandon this track was approved, <br /> <br /> and Clerk authorized to write to the Railroad <br />Commission stating that the City of Santa Ana has no <br />objection to granting of this application and copy of <br />such letter forwarded to the P?clfic Electric Ry. Co. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute <br />the lease between the City of Santa Ana and the Pacific <br />Electric Railway Co. covering a private road cros sing <br />over Pacific Electric Railway Company's Newport Beach <br />Line right-of-way at Engineer's Station 1905585.38, <br />County of Orange, at a rental of ~8.00 per year, for <br />the period September l, 1948 to August 31, 1946. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, application of Powell Neon Sign Co. to hang a <br />neon sign for C.H.Slater Cafe, ~18 No. Main St. was <br />granted and sign ordered hung under supervision of <br />Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />On recormmendation of the Chief of Police and on motion <br />of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br />appointment of Ralph R. Cornecl, effective August 16th, <br />1945, as an emergency patrolman, was approved. <br /> <br />On motio~ of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney aud <br /> <br />carried, <br /> <br />notification of the State Board of Equalization <br /> <br /> <br />
