Main St.; Hugh Staten, 217 E. 1st St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, in the future all applications for the erectiox <br />of electric signs are not to be presented to the Council <br />provided they have the approval of the Electrical <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, notification of the State Board of Equalizatio: <br />of alcoholic beverage application made by Charles V. <br />Davis, dba Santa Aha Bottling Co. 124 Spurgeon St., and <br />protests of Hockaday & Phillips, Inc., and V.B.Anderson <br />Co. against issuance of beverage license, at this <br />location, were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, application of Ben F. Heflinger to conduct the <br />business of dealing in new cars at ~0~ East 1st St., <br />was held over until Oct. l~th, and Clerk authorized to <br />advertise in accordance with automobile dealer's <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />A petition signed by businessmen and representativesof <br />certain organizations requesting an appropriation of <br />$6,000.00, for the employment of a Director and a <br />stenographer to act through the Orange County Veterans <br />Se~vice Office to assist returning servicemen and women <br />was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the petition was held over until next meeting <br />for further study. <br /> <br /> <br />
