Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan, Asa Hoffman None W. J. Cheney Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1052 entitled .An Ordinance Establishing Water Rates in the City of Santa Ana etc' by Adding a new Section 15-a to said Ordinance No. 1052" was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1153 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan, Asa Hoffman. Noes, Trustees None Absent,Trustees W. J. Cheney On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the quotations covering the purchase of a gasoline storage tank to be placed in the City Yard were referred to the Auditor for checking with instructions that he secure specifications as to type of tank and report back at next meeting. On motion of Tx-ustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the Mayor was requested to write a letter of condolence to Mrs. Dorothy Bostwick, Alliance, Ohio, on behalf of the City officials of Santa Ana expressing their sorrow in the passing of her son, Pete Bostwick,. former reporter of the Santa Ana Register.~ . On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, the Clerk was authorized to open bids covering the furnishing of materials and installing of three vertical sewage pumps at the Joint 0utfall Sewer. Bid of Fairbanks, Morse & Co. total price three units $ 10~515.00 Plus California State Sales Tax 262.90 Total price, including sales tax $ 10,77V.90 Alternate bid - total amount of $10,881. 00 Plus California State Sales Tax 273.03 Total price, including sales tax $~ Cashier's check in the amount of $1200.00.
