RESOLUTION NO. 55-~9 AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF LAND <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br /> <br />authorizes and orders the immediate purchase of 6.6 acres, more or less, for <br /> <br />the unit price of $$,250.00 per acre and that the said land be in the South- <br /> <br />westerly portion of that certain parcel of land in the County of Orange, <br /> <br />State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a stake in the center line of the County Road <br />leading from Santa Ana to Gospel Swamp, the same being the South- <br />east corner of land formerly owned and operated by A. P. Kuffel; <br />thence East 6.12 chains; thence North 16.24 chains; thence West <br />6.12 chains; thence South 16.36 chains to the point of beginning, <br />containing l0 acres of land, more or less. <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point 6.12 chains East of a stake, in the center <br />of the County Road leading from Santa Ana to Newport School House, <br />the same being the Southeast corner of the A. P. Kuffel's Tract <br />of land as surveyed by J. Goldsworthy in July, 1876, running thence <br />North 88 3/4° East along the center of said road 6.40 chains; <br />thence North 16.32 chains; thence West 6.40 chains; thence South <br />16.34 chains to the point of beginning, containing lO.41 acres of <br />land, more or less, and being part of the tract marked L. H. <br />Walker on map of the Kuffel and Fletcher Tract as shown on a map <br />recorded in Book 19, page 48 of Miscellaneous Records of Los <br />Angeles County, California. <br /> <br /> EXCEPTING therefrom any portion lying Easterly of the West- <br />erly line of the land described in the deed recorded November 27, <br />1936, Book 849, Page 477 of Official Records. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to <br /> <br />designate and place in escrow an exact description of the exact parcel of land <br /> <br />to be deeded to the City of Santa Aha within the'area limitations herein con- <br /> <br />tained and that the Director of Finance is hereby directed to draw a city <br /> <br />warrant to cover said purchase and to deliver the same in escrow. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its <br /> <br />regular meeting held on the 7th day of March, 1955. <br /> <br />Clerk of the Council <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> ) <br /> <br /> I, EBMA KEELER, do hereby certify that I am the Clerk of the Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana; that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced to <br />said Council at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of Ymrch, 1955, and was at <br />said meeting regularly passed and adopted by the following vote, to-wit: <br /> <br /> AYES, COUNC~N: William Jerome, J.
