RESOLUTION NO. 55-85 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA DETERMINING AND DECLARING THAT WEEDS WHICH BEAR <br />SEEDS OF A WINGY OR DOWNY NATURE AND ATTAIN SUCH A <br />LARGE GROWTH AS TO BECOME A FIRE MENACE WHEN DRY, AND <br />WHICH ARE N~XIOUS AND DANGEROUS, ARE GROWING UPON <br />CERTAIN STREETS, SIDEWALKS, AND PRIVAT~ PROPERTY IN <br />SAID CITY OF SANTA ANA, AND ARE A PUBLIC NUISANCE: <br />DIRECTING THE ACTING DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO POST <br />NOTICES TO DESTROY SAID WEEDS AS REQUIRED BY LAW: <br />FIXING THE TIiFE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS AND PROTESTS, <br />AND DIRECTING THE ABATEMENT THEREOF IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH CHAPTER 13, PART 2, DIVISION 3, TITLE 4 OF THE <br />GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION l: <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES RESOLVE <br /> <br /> Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 13, Part 2, <br />Division 3, Title 4 of the Government Code of the State of Cali- <br />fornia, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby determines <br />and declares that weeds which when mature bear wingy or downy seeds, <br />which will attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace <br />when dry or which are otherwise noxious and dangerous, are growing <br />upon certain streets, sidewalks and private property in said City, <br />and are hereby declared to be a public nuisance, and that the <br />names of such streets as they are commonly known are hereinafter <br />set forth and the property fronting upon such streets or sidewalks, <br />or in front of which such nuisance exists are hereinafter particular- <br />ly described by lot and block numbers according to the official <br />assessment map; <br /> <br /> <br />
