First <br /> <br />estate office within his <br />Street, was approved. <br /> <br />No written or oral protests having been received <br />against the establish~hant of set-back lines on W. 17th <br />Street between Flower Street and the westerly city <br />limits, on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deck- <br />err and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Aha establishing <br /> Set-back Lines upon West Seventeenth Street, on <br /> both sides of said street, from Flower Street to <br /> the westerly limits of the City." <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file <br />for second reading. <br /> <br />The statement of the City Clerk was read certifying <br /> signatures of voters on <br />that the/initiative petition for City Recreation Com- <br /> <br />mission, had been examined and found sufficient, it <br />was moved by Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, that the City Attorney be instructed to pre- <br />pare a Resolution o* 7utention to place the initiative <br />measure on the November 5th election ballot for the <br />establishment of a Recreation Dept. for the City of <br />Santa Ana under management of a Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />Since the voters of southeast Santa Ana have voted <br />favorably to be annexed to the City of Santa Ana and <br />since the Council is now c.~mpleting such annexation, <br />it was moved by Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney <br />and carried, that the Board of Supervisors be reques- <br />ted to reprecinct the territory being annexed so that <br />said territory may be precincted for the General <br />Election to be held November 5th, 1946. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the law firm of 0'Melveny and Myers was em- <br />ployed to conduct all necessary proceedings in con- <br />nection bond election for Recreation Park to be held <br />November 8th, 1946, at a fee of one-tenth of one per <br />cent of the total bond issue. <br /> <br /> <br />
