Haan. <br /> <br />Communication of City Engineer was read,stating that he <br />had informed property owners on Broadway, between Edinger <br />and Pomona Streets that the City did not construct curbs <br />and t?~at they could proceed with the construction of <br />curbs, subject to obtaining permits in accordance with <br />lines and grades established by the City. On motion of <br />Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br />report of the Engineer was accepted relative to set-back <br />lines and the City Attorney was instructed to prepare the <br />necessary Resolution for the establishment of eet-back <br />lines 40 feet on each side of the center line of South <br />Broadway with a minimum distance between curbs of 54 ft. <br /> <br />Communication of the Federal Public Housing Authority <br />was read, stating the necessity of the City of Santa Aha <br />to enter into a supplemental agreement for the additional <br />allotment of twenty housing units at the West Eighth <br />Street Headquarters. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded <br />by Cheney and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "A Resolution authorizing the execution of a supple- <br /> mental agreement between the United States of America <br /> acting by and through the Federal Public Housing <br /> Authority and the City of Santa Aha to provide addi- <br /> tional te~rary housing pursuant to Title V (as <br /> amended) oi' ~anham Act" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3480 and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees W. Eugene Dixon, Dale G. Deckert, IV. J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None <br /> <br /> Absent, Trustees Otto R. Haan. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and car- <br />ried, the report of the investigating committee was ac- <br />cepted and the application of Sheldon Detectives for a <br />permit to conduct a private patrol in the City of Santa <br />Ana, was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and car- <br />ried, the request of Ed ~iarley for M. Eltiste & Co. for <br />the removal of 17 palm trees from the parking in front of <br />their property on the south side of E. First Street, was <br />referred to the Forestry Board. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and car- <br />ried, the City Attorney was instructed to amend Ordinance <br />No. 906 to permit advertising upon benches placed in the <br />City for the convenience of bus patrons; type and loca- <br />tion of such benches to be under supervision of the City <br /> <br /> <br />
