The Chairman of the Council appointed a committee com- posed of Trustees Cheney and Dixon and the City Engineer to make a survey and recommend to the City Council, for the extension of the area to install parking meters. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and car- ried, the City Council adjourned to Monday, July 22nd, 1946, 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers.~ ~/~ City Clerk. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried the application of the Orange County Tuberculosis & Health ~ssn., for quarters at the West Eighth Street Headquarters was referred to the Chairman of the Ce~Lucil for ~tudy. Communication of Mrs. Elizabeth Park was read, stating that she had contacted Mr. George Boyd, Chief of Police, on her knowledge of bookmaking activities in a Bush St. meat market and no action being taken by Mr. Boyd to close the place.
