On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, communication from California State Guard requesting information as to whether building know~ as the Enlisted Mens' Mess, located on property of the former Western Flying Command on W. 8th St. could be leased on a yearly basis, was referred to the Chairman of the Board for action. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication from Orange County Retired Teachers' Association requesting permission to hold their meetings at the Headquarters Building on W. 8th St was referred to the Chairman of the Board for action. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication from Orange County Tuberculosis ?~ Health Assoc. requesting use of several rooms at the Headquarters Building on W. 8th St., was referred to the Chairman of the Board for action. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, request of Alexander H. Kerr & Co. Inc. for installation of stop signs in both d~rections at the intersection of Stand~rd Avenue and St. Andrews Place, was referred to the Street Commissioner and City Engtnee~ to report back at next meeting.
