On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the recommendation of the committee was approved and work ordered done. The committee was granted more time to investigate red,est of L.A.West, Pres. of ~oard of Trustees of tpurgeon ~emorial Eethodist Church, located at corner of Church and Broadway, for a loading zone to be est- ablished at the first parkin~ space south of the fire hydrant numbered ~7 on the east side of Broadway. The Taxicab Committee reported that they failed to agree o~ reGuest of Rainbow Cab Co. for permission to operate four additional 19~l four door sedans for taxicab ~ervic A recess of five minutes was called. The Taxicab Committee reported that they would grant the Rainbow Cab Co. permission to operate one additional taxicab and take under advisement th~ application for the three additional taxicabs and requested that matter be held over for two weeks. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, permission was granted the Rainbow Cab Co. to add two additional taxlcab~. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Deckert and carried, the Clerk was authorized to have 1000 copies of the Charter, as finally s~mitted by the Charter Co~nlttee, printed as soon as final proof is available. On motion of Trustee Deckert, ~econded by Cheney and carried, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an Ordinance providing for a City sales tax of 1/~ of l~, conforming as nearly as possible to the present State Sales Tax law, and present same at the next meetln of the Council; Ordinance to be effective October l, 19~
