Staffler <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petition of Firemen <br /> <br />for Increase in Salary <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request S.A.Tent & Awning Co. <br /> <br />to install sidewalk canopy <br />2032 No. ~aln St. <br /> <br />263 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, co~muunication from Dept. of Public Works, <br />State tIighway h~ngineer, advising that the County Clerk <br />reported there are 431 registered electors in the <br />territory recently annexed to the City of Santa Ana, <br />and known as the "Southeast Annexation", and that the <br />population of the annexed territory shall be determined <br />by multiplying the number of registered electors <br />residing therein by three, giving a total of 1,293, <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, co~nuntcation from Consulate of Mexico extend- <br />ing invitation to Council and their families to attend <br />celebration to be held in the Greek Theatre of Municipal <br />Park, at Anaheim, Sept. 15th, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, notifications of the State Board of Equalizati, <br />of alcoholic beverage applications made by F. Joseph <br />Hershlser, 504 No. Flower St. to be transferred from <br />Benjamin and Flossle M. Baker; Clair D. Dyck and Lydia <br />A. ~eide, 211 No. Bristol to be transferred from Curtis <br />H. Htclunan and Veterans of Foretgns ~ars, Inc. 411~- W. <br />4th St., were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br />carried, applications of Ezequiel C. MonteJano and <br />Douglas F. Drobeck to drive taxicabs were granted and <br /> <br />Clerk authorized to issue licenses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, application of Ted C. Staffler to conduct the <br />business of dealing in motor vehicles at ~02 North Main <br />gt., was held over until meeting of October 91st, 19~6. <br /> <br />A petition w~s presented signed by ten Captains or <br />Acting Captains in the Fire Department requesting an <br />increase in pay for Capt.~ins of at least $25.00 per <br />month, and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by <br />Dixon and carried, petition was held over until next <br />meeting fo~ further study by the Council. <br /> <br />~equest of Santa Aha Tent & Awning Co. to install <br /> <br />a sidewalk stationary canopy at 2032 N. Main St. for <br />A.B.Cary was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, <br />seconded by Cheney and carried, request was held over <br />until next meeting of the Council for report by <br />Building Inspector. <br /> <br /> <br />
