No. 94 <br /> <br />Edith Thatcher <br /> <br />A communication from Ruth Geist, 1063 W. 1st St., <br />protesting against garage business being conducted in a <br />wooden structure at 1068 W. 1st St. w~s read and on <br />motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication was referred to Building Inspector <br />and Clerk for checking and to report back at next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />The Clerk read protests from Richard G. Robbins, Mrs. <br />Robert H. Scott and First Baptist Church of Santa Ana <br />relative to operation of card room in Santa Ana. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, application of Irwin V~. Stanton to conduct a <br />card room was denied and letters of protests ordered <br />filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br /> <br />carried, report of Police Department for month of <br />August, 1946, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Annual Report of the Planning Commission <br />for 1948-1946 was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, communication from Secy. Santa Ana City <br />Schools advising that the Board of Education adopted a <br />motion to withdraw Resolution which they had passed on <br />July 15th, 1946 requesting the Council to close that <br />portion of l§th Street which passes through the Junior <br />College campus site, was received, filed and referred <br />to Planning Commission for their record. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "A Resolution of the City Council Rejecting <br /> the Proposed Vacation of a Portion of West <br /> Fifteenth Street in the City of Santa Ana" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution <br />No. 3800 and p~ssed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br /> <br />Absent, Trust~ees <br /> <br />W.
