City Council met in regular session. Council Chan~ber Santa Ana City Hall March 4th, 1948. 7:30 P.M. Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Absent: Trustees W. Eugene Dixon The Clerk con~nenced the reading of the Minutes and each member of the C~ty Council having received copies of the Minutes of February 18th, 1946, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried. In Re Cormnunication Orthodox World Council In Re Communication Senate Resol.No.33 In Re Communication Senate Resol. No.38 In Re National Housing Agency In Re Beverage Applications Communication from Orthodox World Council requesting building or office space to be used for meeting rooms was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Che~ and carried, Clerk was instructed to advise that the City of Santa Aha does not have available any office or building space at this time. . Communication from Secretary of the Senate, together with Senate Resolution No. 33 relative procedure in taking a special census under Federal supervision was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, co~nunication and Resolution were received and filed. Co~2nunication from Secretary of the Senate, together with Senate Resolution No. 38 relative Construction and Employment Act was read and on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, cormnunication and Resolution were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Mayor was authorized on behalf of the City of Santa Ana to sign an agreement to terminate the site Street lease at the West Eighth/Headquarters with the United States Government and hold the United States Government haEnless in so far as any claims for restoration of said premises are concerned for veterans housing ProJec~ No. CAL-V-4382. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, notifications of the State Board of Equalizati( of alcoholic beverage applications made by Jennings A. Brown and Joseph E. Platt, 433 W. 4th St., to be trans- ferred from Waldo C. Robertson and Robert W. Bachelor, 500-02 So. Main St. to be transfered from Ramona Harris were received and filed. n
