Main St. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, ~request was referred to City Engineer and Street Commissioner to report back at the next meeti~ng. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, and on recommendation of the City Engineer, th, Chairman of the Board and Clerk were authorized to file an official application to the State Railroad Commissio~ for a railroad crossing on Sixth Street between Santiag~ Avenue and TeEninal Street. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana Adopting Budget and Approving First Supplemental Memorandtnn of Agreement for Expenditure of 1/4 Cent Gas Tax Allocated for Streets of Major Importance" was introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution No. 844B and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, Asa Hoffman. None Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the actuary report was accepted and Clerk authorized to enter into a contract with the firm of Coates and Herfurth, Consulting Actuaries, for deter- mining approximate contribution of the City of Santa Aha by the participation in State Employees' Retirement System. A petition signed by sixty-one r~sidents in the vicinit of North Flower St. and Santa Ana Boulevard requesting that the speed limit on Santa Ana Boulevard be reduced from 88 miles per hour to 40 miles per hour was read. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, matter was referred to the City Attorney for checking with State Highway authorities and to report back at the next meeting. On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, request of Home 0il Co. for permission to set two light standards inside set back line at northeast corner of Main and Hobart St. and at 1401 No. Main St., and protest signed by eleven property owzB rs in the 1900 and 2000 blocks South Main St. against the granting of permission to establish a used car lot at 200E So. Main St., were referred to the City Attorney to report back at the next meeting.
