Main St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br /> <br />carried, ~request was referred to City Engineer and <br />Street Commissioner to report back at the next meeti~ng. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, and on recommendation of the City Engineer, th, <br />Chairman of the Board and Clerk were authorized to file <br />an official application to the State Railroad Commissio~ <br />for a railroad crossing on Sixth Street between Santiag~ <br />Avenue and TeEninal Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution of the City Council of the City <br /> of Santa Ana Adopting Budget and Approving <br /> First Supplemental Memorandtnn of Agreement <br /> for Expenditure of 1/4 Cent Gas Tax <br /> Allocated for Streets of Major Importance" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution <br />No. 844B and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees <br /> <br />Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, <br />Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the actuary report was accepted and Clerk <br />authorized to enter into a contract with the firm of <br />Coates and Herfurth, Consulting Actuaries, for deter- <br />mining approximate contribution of the City of Santa <br />Aha by the participation in State Employees' Retirement <br />System. <br /> <br />A petition signed by sixty-one r~sidents in the vicinit <br />of North Flower St. and Santa Ana Boulevard requesting <br />that the speed limit on Santa Ana Boulevard be reduced <br />from 88 miles per hour to 40 miles per hour was read. <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, matter was referred to the City Attorney for <br />checking with State Highway authorities and to report <br />back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion <br />of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, <br />request of Home 0il Co. for permission to set two light <br />standards inside set back line at northeast corner of <br />Main and Hobart St. and at 1401 No. Main St., and <br />protest signed by eleven property owzB rs in the 1900 <br />and 2000 blocks South Main St. against the granting of <br />permission to establish a used car lot at 200E So. Main <br />St., were referred to the City Attorney to report back <br />at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
