Eugene Dixon for a leave of <br />absence from the State ~0r a period of six weeks, <br />beginning April 25th, 1946, was granted. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Poli~ "~d Fire Departments <br />and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, request of Herbert L. Gortner and Ralph E. <br />Havielshorst to conduct public dances at the DeMolay <br />Hall, beginning May 1st, 1946, on Wednesday, Friday and <br />Saturday nights, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Chairman of the Board was authorized to <br />sign agreement with Julian C. Smith and the City of <br />Santa Ana coverLng leasing of the Municipal Bowl for one <br />day, being April 28th, 1946, for the purpose of conduct- <br />ing a rodeo. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the City Attorney and on motion of <br />Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, agreemen' <br />with C.E.Price and Sons for the purchase of garbage from <br />the City of Santa Ana beginning May l, 1946 and ending <br />April 30, 1949 was accepted and Chairman of the Board <br />authorized to sign agreement. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Aha, <br /> California, Providing for the Issuance <br /> of Bonds of said City in the Amount of <br /> Si,s00,000.00 for the Acquisition and <br /> Construction of Certain Municipal <br /> Improvements" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1164 and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen and Trustees Dale G.
