On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, application of American Legion Auxiliary, San~a Ana Unit 131 to solicit funds on Poppy Days, May 24th and 2$th, was granted. On recommendation of the Poundmaster and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, all K-9 dogs which have been honorably discharged from the service s~all be exempt from all City dog tax fees. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, request of Frank Moreno, Mgr. "El Buen Vecino" to conduct a public dance at the V.F.W. Hall, Saturday May 18th, was granted provided they secure the approval of the Police Department ,, On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, the report of the Police Department for the month of April, 1946, was received and filed. C~mmunication from Department of Public Health acknowle( lng receipt of detailed plans for the new booster pump- ing plant and sludge digestion tank of the Joint 0utfalZ Sewer was read, and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, Chairman of the Board was authorized to request the Department of Public Health for an amendment to the permit issued August 8th, 1940 to include additional facilities according to plans submitted to the StatetDepartment. The recommendation of the City Attorney wam accepted and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, the application of the Pacific Electric Ry. Co. requesting certain increases and adjustments in passenger fares, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "A 'Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, calling an election to be held in the unincorporated territory known as "Southeast Santa Ana", for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors thereof, the quemtion, whether such territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of the City of Santa Ana; Appointing election officers and designating a polling place
