Fink - <br /> <br />Use of Municipal Bowl <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request <br /> <br />City Engineer - <br /> <br />Light Standards <br /> <br /> Communication from Director of Recreation Dept. request- <br /> ing use of Municipal Bowl for May Day Festival on May <br /> 3rd, 1946 and Soft-Ball Program from May 1st, 1946 $o <br /> Sept. l, 1948 was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, <br /> seconded by Cheney and carried, request was referred to <br /> Park Supt., Auditor and Trustee Deckert for study and <br /> schedule. <br /> <br /> ,, <br /> <br /> Communication from Assistance League of Orange County, <br /> requesting use of Municipal Bowl for Annual Orange <br /> County Horse Show mud Fair on June l?th through June <br /> 23rd, 1946, was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, <br /> seconded by Dixon and carried, request was granted. <br /> <br /> Request of Jasper Farney for permission to install a <br /> <br /> 35 ft. driveway on Sixth Street, just East of Ross Stre~ <br /> to serve four garages in connection with apartment hou~ <br /> was read, and on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by <br /> Deckert and carried, permission to install driveway was <br /> granted. <br /> <br /> Request of Water Superintendent recommending that 5000 <br /> feet of twelve inch diameter Enamcline (cement lined) <br /> class 150, bell and spigot cast iron pipe; and 2000 feet <br /> of eight inch diameter Enameline, class 150, bell and <br /> spigot cast iron pipe be purchased, was read and on <br /> motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried <br /> the Clerk was authorized to advbrtise for bids covering <br /> the purchase of this material. <br /> <br /> ,, <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> carried, the request of Herman 0. Fink for permission <br /> to use the Municipal Bowl for the purpose of staging <br /> motorcycle races was denied and Clerk instructed to <br /> so advise Mr. Fink of this action. <br /> <br />Communication from City Engineer stating that one side <br />of all double ornamental light standards have been un- <br />lighted except in the central business district and that <br />the midnight circuit, usually every other light, has beea <br />out of service on most of the ornamental systems where <br />single light standards are used and recommending that <br />these lights be placed back in service, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids <br />covering the removal and/or replacement of broken <br />glassware on all light standards. <br /> <br /> <br />
