RESOLUTION NO. ~5-117 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br />TO CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINI{ABIT~4~ TEP~ITORY DES- <br />CRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "SPURGEON N~940RIAL ANNEX", AND <br />GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO <br /> <br /> W"HEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California, has approved <br />the description of certain real property as herein set out for the purpose of an- <br />nexation and the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has approved the annexation of <br />said territory; and <br /> <br /> W-HF_J~AS, the owners of said real property have filed a petition with the <br />Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Ana, California, annex <br />said real property, stating that the same is uninhabited, consenting in writing <br />that said real property m~y be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said <br />City contracted prior to such annexation; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory under the <br />provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and <br />hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than <br />19 registered voters residing in it on April 27, 1955, the date when said petition <br />was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California, <br />lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 13, Potts, Borden and Sidwell <br /> Tract, as per map thereof recorded in Book 4, Page 624, Miscellaneous <br /> Records of Los Angeles County, California, said Southwest corner being on <br /> the centerline of Memory L~ne, said point also being on the Northerly City <br /> Limit line of the City of Santa Ana; running thence East 362.43 feet along <br /> the said center line and the City Limit line to the Southwest corner of <br /> Tract 2089, as per map thereof recorded in Book 60, Pages 6 and 7, Mis~ <br /> cellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, said point being <br /> an angle point in the City Limit line; thence North 0° 03' 45" West <br /> 660.97 feet along the Westerly line of said Tract 2089 and the Westerly <br /> City Limit line to the Northwest corner of said Tract 2089, said corner <br /> being on an angle point in the City limit line of the City of Santa Aha, <br /> said point also being on the North line of the South half of said Lot 13; <br /> thence leaving the City Limit line of the City of Santa Ana North 89° 59' <br /> 55" West 369.43 feet along the said North line of the South half of Lot <br /> 13 to a point in the West line of said Lot 13; thence gouth 0° 03' 45" <br /> East 660.98 feet along the West line of said Lot 13 to the point of <br /> beginning. <br /> <br /> Bearings and distances shown on Record of Survey, Book 29, Page 14. <br /> <br /> Tb~t said Council hereby designated "SPURGEON MEMORIAL ANNEX" as an approp- <br />riate name for said annexation. <br /> <br /> That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will annex said <br />territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary School District, Santa <br />Ana High School District and Santa Ana Junior College District and upon the com- <br /> <br /> <br />
