Lowry <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Chamber of Co.narco <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and <br /> carried, the Auditor wss instructed to transfer from <br /> the General Fund, each month until tax monies are <br /> available, an amount sufficient to pay the current <br /> demands of the Recreation Department. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and <br /> carried, communication from Water Superintendent~lative <br /> to corrosive action of Metropolitan water and resulting <br /> <br /> deposit, was received and filed. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chancy, seconded by Chandler and <br /> carried, communication from Diehl & Company, stating <br /> that quarterly examination of books and accounts of the <br /> City of Santa Aha for the period ending March 51st, <br /> 1947, has been made, was received and filed. <br /> <br />Copies of communications from Civil Service Board <br />addressed to Chief of Fire Department and Chief of Police <br />Department, relative to employees of these departments <br />engaging in outside employment, which is in violation <br />of Rule V, Section 6 of the Official Rules and Reg- <br />ulations of the Civil Service, and copy of communication <br />addressed to Dave L. Styring of the Fire Department, <br />re~:esting that he discontinue his outside employment <br />covering maintenance and sale of fire equipment, were <br />read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, communications were received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from S.L.Lowry, Civil Engineer, on behalf <br />of his client, Wm. M. Ryals, requesting permission to <br />eliminate construction of sidewalks on the east side of <br />Artesia Street at llth Street, and adjoining Lots I and <br />ll, of Tract No. ll?6, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chancy and <br />carried, request to eliminate construction of sidewalks <br />was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Chancy and <br />carried, communication from Secretary Chamber of Commerce, <br />requesting that City Council take the initiative in <br />making a study of a combined City-County Civic Center, <br />was received and filed and Chamber of Commerce to be <br />advised, by letter, of City's future plans on this <br />development. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
