No. ~5579 <br /> <br />A! rrovinu, ~Iemo of <br /> <br />Acroem~nt-1/4/ Oas Tax. <br /> <br />This being the date set for public hearing to amend the <br />Zoning Ordinance by changing from the R-5 District to the <br />M-1 District the property located on the north side of <br />Fruit Street and lying immediately west of the Juvenile <br />Home, in accordance with application of the County of <br />Orange, and no written or oral protests having been receiw <br />on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and car- <br />ried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1074" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br />second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for the opening of bids on city <br />advertising for the period from August 1st, 1947 to July <br />Zlst, 1948, the following bids were received and opened: <br /> <br />Register Publishing Co., Ltd.: First insertion of any ordi- <br />nance, resolution or other city advertisement---~½ cents <br />per thousand circulation, or 70 cents per column inch, <br />whichever is lower. <br />Next five or less insertfons of the same ordinance, reso- <br />lution or other City advertisement---Z~ cents per thousand <br />circulation, or 70 cents per column inch, whichever is low~ <br />Each subsequent insertion of the same ordinance, resolutioz <br />or other City Adverttsement---2~ cents per thousand circu- <br />lation, or $0 cents per column inch, whichever is lower. <br /> <br />Orange County Reporter: Rate per inch-lst insertion $1.40 <br /> For each next five insertionsl.20 <br /> For each subsequent insertionl.05 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and car- <br />ried, the bids on advertising were referred to the City <br />Auditor for checking and recommendation. <br /> <br />On recommendation of City Auditor and on motion of Trustee <br />Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the bid of the <br />Register Publishing Co., Ltd. was accepted as the lowest <br />bid. <br /> <br />Communication from Signal Oil Company requesting permissior <br />to install two lighting poles <br />and a pole for an advertising sign within the seven foot <br />set back line on Main Street at proposed service station <br />at the southeast corner of Pomona and Main Streets, was <br />read. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler <br />and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign <br />agreement covering the request of the Signal Oil Company. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and car- <br />ried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution of the City Council of the City of <br /> Santa Aha approving Memorandum of Agreement for <br /> expenditure of 1/4 Cent Gas Tax allocated for <br /> State Highways" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution <br />No. 5579 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, <br /> Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None <br /> <br />Absent, Trustee W. J. Cheney. <br /> <br /> <br />
